How to Connect Your Domain to DeoMail (Step-by-Step Guide)

If you’re feeling confused looking at the DNS screen… that’s completely normal.

Most people have never touched DNS before, and honestly, it looks scary at first.

👉 But here’s the truth:
This is just a copy–paste job, nothing more.

You don’t need technical knowledge.
You don’t need to “understand everything”.

Just follow the steps slowly — and you’ll be done in a few minutes.

What Are We Actually Doing?

Right now, your domain (like yourdomain.com) is not yet connected to DeoMail.

So we need to tell the internet:

👉 “Hey, it’s okay for DeoMail to send emails from my domain.”

We do that by adding 4 small entries (called DNS records).

That’s it.

The 4 Things You Need to Add

You will add these 4 records:

  1. MX
  2. SPF
  3. DKIM
  4. DMARC

👉 Don’t worry about the names — we’ll do each one step-by-step.

Step 1: Go to Your Domain Settings

First, go to the website where you bought your domain.

This could be:

  • GoDaddy
  • Namecheap
  • Cloudflare
  • Hostinger

Now Look for This

Somewhere in your dashboard, find:

  • DNS Settings
  • DNS Management
  • Advanced DNS

👉 It might look different depending on your provider — that’s okay.

Can’t Find It?

Just Google:

👉 “how to edit DNS in GoDaddy”
(or whatever your provider is)

📌 Important Before We Start

You will see fields like:

  • Type
  • Name / Host
  • Value

👉 Don’t overthink these.

You’ll just copy from DeoMail and paste here.

Now Let’s Add Each Record (One by One)

Take your time. Do it slowly.

STEP 2: Add MX Record

What This Means (Simple)

This tells the internet:

👉 “Where should emails for my domain go?”

What To Do

Click “Add Record” in your DNS panel.

Now fill:

  • Type: MX
  • Name / Host:
If DeoMail shows pm → write pm
    If it shows @ → write @
  • Priority: 10
  • Value:
    hi.deomail.com

After That

Click Save

That’s it for MX.

STEP 3: Add SPF Record

What This Means

This protects your domain from fake emails.

What To Do

Click Add Record

Fill:

  • Type: TXT
  • Name / Host:
Same as before (usually @ or pm)
  • Value:
v=spf1 mx ~all

⚠️ Important (Don’t Skip This)

If you already see a TXT record starting with:

v=spf1

👉 Do NOT create a new one

Instead:

  • Click Edit
  • Add mx before ~all

STEP 4: Add DKIM Record

What This Means

This proves your emails are real (like a signature).

What To Do

Click Add Record

Fill:

  • Type: TXT
  • Name / Host:
    Copy EXACTLY from DeoMail
    (example: dkim._domainkey.pm)
  • Value:
👉 Copy the long key from DeoMail

⚠️ Important

  • The value will be very long — that’s normal
  • Copy everything exactly
  • Even one missing letter = error

STEP 5: Add DMARC Record

What This Means

This protects your domain from spam and misuse.

What To Do

Click Add Record

Fill:

  • Type: TXT
  • Name / Host:
    _dmarc (or _dmarc.pm)
  • Value:
v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; rua=mailto:dmarc@yourdomain.com

Replace This

Replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain.

STEP 6: Wait a Few Minutes

After saving everything:

  • Usually works in 5–10 minutes
  • Sometimes takes longer — that’s normal

STEP 7: Go Back to DeoMail

Click:

👉 “Verify All Records” button

That’s It — You’re Done 🎉

Once all records are verified:

  • Your domain is fully connected
  • You can start sending emails

If Something Doesn’t Work

Don’t worry — these are very common:

🔴 Still showing error?

  • Wait 10 minutes
  • Click verify again

🔴 DKIM not working?

  • Check if you copied full value
  • No missing text

🔴 SPF issue?

  • Make sure only ONE SPF exists
